How to choose

Instant hot water dispensers: three questions before you buy

An instant dispenser skips the wait for a kettle — press once and you get water at the temperature you asked for. We stock 11 machines plus 2 filter and tank accessories, all 220–240V. Work through these three questions and you won’t pick the wrong one.

1. Do you need filtration?

TypeBest forWhat actually differsRunning cost
Instant onlyYour tap water is already fine and you simply want hot water on demand. Smallest footprint, easiest to place. No filter costs
RO filteredYou want to drink straight from it and stop buying bottled water. Filtration down to 0.0001 microns.Filters need replacing

In short: if you only want quicker hot water for tea or formula, instant-only is enough. If you want it to replace bottled water for the whole household, choose RO.

2. Do you want chilled water or ice?

Adding cooling makes the machine noticeably larger and it needs room to vent. Our RO models come in three levels: filtration only (ambient up to boiling), hot and cold (down to 5–6°C), and with an ice maker. The most flexible models offer six temperature settings, from 5°C to 100°C.

3. Running costs and where it will sit

  • Filters are the real expense. The machine is only the start. Check the rated filter capacity (roughly 2,000–2,500 litres) and the replacement interval (up to about 12 months) before comparing machine prices.
  • Match tank size to your household. Our raw water tanks range from 4 to 6 litres. A larger tank means fewer refills if you drink a lot of tea or there are several of you.
  • Measure the worktop first. Countertop models are filled from the top, so leave clearance above; cooling models also need space at the sides to vent.
  • Check the temperature presets. Formula, tea and coffee each have an ideal temperature — more presets makes daily use noticeably easier.
